Merry CHRISTmas!

I want to wish everyone a very merry Christ-filled CHRISTmas this year!  I pray that you all remember the true meaning of why we celebrate CHRISTmas and give thanks to God for all the blessings that he has given you, especially the biggest one of all, His Son.

May God bless you and your family with a wonderful day full of wonderful memories.  May you always remember the true meaning of CHRISTmas every day of the year.

From my family to yours:  Merry CHRISTmas!  And as the tiny Tim would say, "God bless us, everyone"!

Thank You

I want to thank everyone for all of their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time for my family.  You will never know how much they have meant to us.  Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers during this holiday season.

I am going to try and get back to posting again.  I’ve missed posting.  But, since the weekend after the funeral and burial, I have been sick and unable to talk since Sunday.  Now, my family has enjoyed the break, lol, but it hasn’t made life easy for me.

My friend, Tammy, came in for a few days, and God blessed us with giving us our dream day together.  Even though we were both not feeling well, we got to sit together, drink tea and coffee, eat chocolate, knit & crochet, and watch Stargate together!  We’ve talked about that many times and were so blessed to get to spend that time together.  We did ABSOLUTELY NOTHING all day on Monday and it was wonderful!  We will both remember our time together for a long time to come.  For God to have blessed me with a friend like this is beyond words.  I thank Him every day for bringing us together.  She is one special lady.   Now, if I can only get up there to see her soon…….

I’ve Been Awarded The Kreative Blogger Award

kreative blogger

I am honored to be the recipient of the Kreative Blogger Award!  A great big “thank you” goes out to Deborah Vogts at Country At Heart  for awarding it to me this week.

Receiving the award has 2 conditions, you have to share 7 things about yourself and you have to pass the award on to 7 other bloggers!

So, what 7 things should I share with you about myself?  Hmm.  How about these:

  1. I try to make Jesus Lord & Savior of my life, but tend to fail.  I’m so thankful He forgives me and lets me keep trying over and over again.
  2. I have 3 children whom I love beyond words, and I am truly blessed beyond words.  They make me proud each and every day.  It’s the hardest job I’ve ever had and the only one that I’ve truly loved!
  3. I have been married to the love of my life and best friend for 15-1/2  years.
  4. I love to cook and bake!  It’s one of my favorite past times!  I also love to read, scrapbook, & crochet.  In fact, every time I pick up a crochet hook, it reminds of my great-grandmother.
  5. Moving to the country a little over 2 years ago has been the best thing we have ever done.   God definitely knew what he was doing when He gave us this opportunity.  I’ve never felt so at home and peaceful in my life!
  6. My biggest weakness – Chocolate!!!  Not just any chocolate, but really, really GOOD chocolate!
  7. I love being frugal and always trying to find new/better ways to make our money stretch and/or save it.  My favorite site is Frugal Families.  Not to mention that it is owned by my very best friend.  I just wish we lived closer together.

Here are the 7 bloggers that I have the privilege of passing this award on to:
