It’s A Joy Filled Day In Our Home

I did not get to go to our Revival service tonight due to severe allergies, but the rest of the family went.  When they finally made it home, my 13-year-old daughter, Melia, came to me with some news that I’ve been longing to hear for a long time now.  Tonight, while her mother was at home not feeling well, she accepted Christ into her heart and decided to make Him Lord of her life!  I’m so happy that I’ve been crying off and on ever since!  Tears of joy, that is!   I’ve been so concerned that she would start high school not knowing for sure and not having Christ Jesus to rely on for guidance in the moments when we, her parents, cannot be there.  Now, I don’t have to worry any more!

Thank you, Jesus, for allowing our church to have Revival this week and for convicting me to pray so earnestly on her behalf last night.  Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to touch her and guide her in making this decision.  I ask that you continue to guide and direct her, and that you help us, her parents, to guide her and bring her up in your ways.   Thank you again for this wonderful, joy filled day in our home.

If you feel lead, please leave a comment here for her to read.  I know she would appreciate it!

In Christ,

  1. My darling daughter,I am so happy and proud of you, for listening to what God was saying to you and being brave enough to stand up and react to what he was telling you. Your mother and I have been praying for you for so long and we will continue to pray for you. We will pray that God will protect you and that you will draw closer to him and let him guide your every footstep. Please baby girl let him be the 1st thing in you life, give him all of your heart, mind and soul. Give him your everything.Again I say I love you. I hope that your mother and I can be the spirit filled, God fearing parents that you need and I pray that I never do anything to make you stumble on you way.Love always,Dad
