I did not get to go last night due to severe allergies, but Brian and the kids did.  As a result, our oldest daughter, Melia was saved!  I’m still on cloud 9 because of that!  But, I can say that we’ve been hit hard by the enemy today.  I expected it, but not the way it came about.  Melia is going to baptized on the 12th which is Katie’s b-day.   She is not normally a self-centered child, but she had gotten the idea in her head that everyone would pay attention to Melia on her b-day and not her. We had to have a long talk with her and I had to explain to her how wrong she was.  After some time alone, some time in the word and prayer, she is now back to her normal cheerful self. 

Anyway, Brian did take jot down some thoughts so I thought that I would share them with you.

The speaker was David Landrith and, from the sounds of things, I missed a good message.  He spoke on Revelations 3:14-20, which teaches about the lukewarm Christian.

He said that most:

• they go to church
• they give money as long as it doesn’t hurt their standards of living.
• they want “fire insurance” – they want to be saved but they don’t want to change.
• they’re good people
• they’re not much different from the unbeliever

You can’t live with one foot on the dock and one on the boat or you will eventually fall in.

1. Lukewarm people are quite possibly lost people – No Change, No Peace; Know Jesus, Know Change.
2. Lukewarm people are part of leading people to hell.  Christians are the light of the world, but when we’re lukewarm, we don’t shine.   (People don’t see Jesus in you, they see someone doing worse things than they do. )
3. Lukewarm people will inevitably suffer the consequences of living a lukewarm life.  Sins have certain consequences, but God also puts certain consequences in our lives to help bring us back to Him. 

We need to repent and turn away from our wicked ways. 

I’m really looking forward to going tonight and seeing what He has to say.   This is our last night of Revival, and I’m praying that God will continue to touch the lives that are there.  

I did not get to go to our Revival service tonight due to severe allergies, but the rest of the family went.  When they finally made it home, my 13-year-old daughter, Melia, came to me with some news that I’ve been longing to hear for a long time now.  Tonight, while her mother was at home not feeling well, she accepted Christ into her heart and decided to make Him Lord of her life!  I’m so happy that I’ve been crying off and on ever since!  Tears of joy, that is!   I’ve been so concerned that she would start high school not knowing for sure and not having Christ Jesus to rely on for guidance in the moments when we, her parents, cannot be there.  Now, I don’t have to worry any more! 

Thank you, Jesus, for allowing our church to have Revival this week and for convicting me to pray so earnestly on her behalf last night.  Thank you for allowing the Holy Spirit to touch her and guide her in making this decision.  I ask that you continue to guide and direct her, and that you help us, her parents, to guide her and bring her up in your ways.   Thank you again for this wonderful, joy filled day in our home.
