We recently dealt with a situation that I never really thought could happen to us. We’ve been through numerous tornado warnings (several were very close calls), but we have NEVER had to deal with the threat of a fire!

To find out what happened & how we coped with the situation, head on over to Heritage Homesteaders.

Happy Anniversary to Us!

April is one of my favorite months out of the year.  But, this year, I think I was so busy that I almost missed it!  One of the reason’s that it’s one of my favorite months is it’s our anniversary.  This year, we celebrated 20 wonderful years together!  Brian and I decided to get away for a few days and went to one of our favorite places to go:  Pigeon Forge, TN!  The weather was absolutely perfect!  No rain, warm during the day, and nice, cool nights.  Perfect for a couple’s retreat!

Big change in 20 years, huh?

For our actual anniversary day, we met for breakfast at the local Cracker Barrel restaurant, and my sweet husband bought me a dozen red roses!  ❤  We had treated ourselves to new wedding rings while we were away, so we didn’t really do anything else that day.  Of course, his working night shift at the time also had something to do with that.

While I didn’t take a lot of pics this time, we had a wonderful time seeing some of our favorite sites, looking at all the cars that had come to the annual “Rod Run,” and just enjoying being together.  While our marriage has had its fair share of ups and downs, we have weathered it all together.  I love him more now than I ever thought possible, even 20 years ago!  I knew he was the man God had chosen for me and I have never had any doubts.

“Happy Anniversary, Brian! May God bless us with many more happy years together!”

When things are out of our control………

For some reason, WP has not liked my domain name & I’ve been struggling for months to get the two to agree to like each other & cooperate.  Now, for whatever reason, it seems that they are playing nice with each other and all is working well again.  Anything I tried to post would post to my blog, but it would not show up on my blog.  Instead, it would post on the free domain that I don’t use.  UGH!  So, since everything seems to be working again, I’m going to try to get back to blogging 2-3 times a week.  With our school schedule this year, I don’t know that I’ll be able to do more than that.  But, oh, how I’ve missed blogging!  I’ve missed hearing from my readers.  I do know that I am looking to move my blog to a paid hosting site before too long because I never want this to happen again, so there might be a short down time in the future, but nothing like the months that I’ve not been able to post anything!
