~~Exciting Week For Swag Bucks Users!!!~~

This week is an exciting week for loyal Swag Bucks users!  For one week, Swag Bucks is going to be increasing the amounts of times people can win from doing searches throughout the day!  This means the more you search, the more chances you have of winning!
I’ve been using Swag Bucks for quite a while now and LOVE it!  All you have to do is use them as your main search engine and  you will randomly win SB’s.  They are also very good about putting our random codes which you can also input for more SB’s!  These add up quick and can be put toward many great prizes
I’ve used other programs  but I just never had the time to keep up with all the emails, and I never found any deals worth buying through their links, but with Swag Bucks, I can almost always find something that I would like to put my earned bucks toward.  Most of the time, I like to put them toward Amazon.com GCs since I usually find something on there  a few times a year that I’m already looking for or for when I’m looking for a gift for someone.
These are just a few ways that you can earn Swag Bucks.  So, I’m encouraging you to give Swag Bucks a chance!  You’ll get bonus Swag Bucks just for signing up!  It’s free!  What do you have to lose?!  If you sign up between now and Noon (PST) on Friday, May 7, 2010, and use code SWAGNATION5 (case sensitive), you will get 50 Swag Bucks credited to your account to start with instead of 30!

Menu Plan: 05/02 – 05/08

I never did get a menu plan done last week, but it would’ve been a bust anyway since I ended up coming down with a serious case of sinobronchitis!  Yuck!  We managed to survive, but I’m looking forward to getting back into a semi normal routine.   The kids will be home from school on Tuesday due to it being election day, so I’ll definitely have to make some goodies to have on hand for snacking.   Since the weather is warming up, you’ll probably start seeing more and more crock pot meals on my menu plans.  The nice thing about crock pots is that I can set them outside when it’s hot to keep from heating up my house!

So, here’s my menu plan for the week will be out of the pantry:

Breakfast:

  • Amish Baked Oatmeal
  • Cinnamon French Bread Breakfast Casserole
  • Apples with peanut butter or dulce de leche (caramel dipping sauce)
  • Crepes

Lunch:

  • Sandwiches
  • Leftovers

Dinner:

  • Grilled hamburgers & hot dogs
  • Grilled chicken with baked potatoes (cooked in roaster oven)
  • Poor Man’s Soup (cooked in the crock pot) with grilled cheese sandwiches
  • Crock Pot Pinto Beans, potatoes, & cornbread
  • Crock Pot Chili
  • Leftovers

I’m planning leftovers at least twice this week to give me a bit more time to recoup plus get a few things done around here that need to be done.

Don’t forget to check out Organizing Junkie for more great menu plans this week!

~Baby Chicks Are Here!~

Our baby chicks are here! Well, they’ve actually been here for a week now, but I was unable to get pictures before today.  Out of the 12 eggs we set, we ended up with 6 cute lil’ baby chicks!  Three of the eggs never developed, 1 disappeared, and 2 were fully developed but didn’t hatch.  The chicks that had already hatched kept pushing them out from under mom and they got too cold.  So, without further ado, here are our latest additions!
April 2010 Chicks8
April 2010 Chicks4
I love watching mom teaching her babies how to scratch and look for yummy bugs to eat!  They are just too cute trying to copy her!

Check back often!  I’ll be posting pics as they grown and change!
